Lauren Barratt
As an aspiring trend forecaster, I’m fascinated by how culture and fashion intertwine, painting a landscape that is representative of current values and cultures.
My skills in idea generation and creative direction are grounded by my love for research, thriving in briefs where outside the box thinking meets academic reasoning.
I am driven by my desire to tell underrepresented stories, with a particular focus on the queer community and alternative portrayals of femininity. I strive to challenge conventional industry narratives by presenting fresh, thought-provoking perspectives that highlight the voices of real people.
I have worked on university projects with brands such as Castle Rock Brewery, Dawson Denim, Tatty Devine, Els Bra’s and Haglöfs, giving me a range of experience across sectors and developing my industry experience.  From this, I was able get an internship with the charity Words Matter, where I used my knowledge of social media to help create a positive change.
